Honda SLR 650 / Dominator Custom.

For sale is my 1989 SLR/Dominator. Well loved, it’s a torquey, punchy bike that’s happy on dirt tracks, green lanes or road riding. It’s performed brilliantly at a few Mallé events and has been very well maintained, modified and cared for by the pros at Bristol Bike Doctors.

The Honda SLR 650 is a four stroke, single cylinder bike, air cooled, electric start (starts on the button) and 5-speed easy change smooth gear box. This bike is a stripped-down version of the Dominator 650, biased towards street/dirt use and highly capable. 19” front wheel / 17” rear and a slightly lower seat than the Dominator. It is lighter with improved acceleration, a bullet-proof, grunty, low maintenance engine, a softer suspension set up and a very responsive throttle. It shares the same bones as the Honda NX650 and XR650. Spare parts are plenty and easy to find, and this bike really flies.

As a custom bike it features a slightly shortened frame, brand new seat, Akrapovic premium performance exhaust, performance air filter and new electrics. New flat tracker headlight, new Daytona digital speedo, discreet Moblaze Pin LED front indicators and LED 3-in-1 brake, DRL and indicator lights on rear. Approx 36k miles, recent pair Continental TKC 80 tyres, replacement Honda CG125 petrol tank, new fabricated metal side panels, black. MOT until May 2025, no advisories, lots of money spent on this bike.

This bike starts conversations and gets a lot of admiring attention wherever it goes. I have a few bikes and need to make some room and it’s not getting ridden as much. It’s a blast, a smile a minute. First to see will buy. No time wasters please
