THE BUILD

It is originally from Switzerland (this model was not produced in the UK), is now UK-registered with the DVLA, and comes with its V5—71,494 km on the clock. In Switzerland, it was used by an elderly lady to tour around Europe. The paperwork has been done, and it carries the historic bike status, no MOT, no Tax. It has been used as a commuting bike and is parked in a garage overnight. It’s a head turner as it is a real classic bike; it’s up for sale as there are too many bikes in the garage, and to buy a new one, I promised to sell a couple of my bikes. So there are two bikes for sale, hoping the other one goes before this one tho! It comes with its original seat as a spare.
Pick up only, or I can organise shipping (you deal directly with the shipper; I can put you in touch with a couple of guys), or I can ride to you if not too far from Hackney.

INFO
The 1984 Honda XLV 750R is one of the most iconic milestones in the history of the Japanese brand’s adventure motorcycles, developed with the aim of asserting Honda’s presence in the large twin-cylinder trail segment. Launched as a bold response to the growing demand for motorcycles capable of tackling long distances over mixed terrain, the XLV 750R stood out early on for its rugged styling, reliable performance and durability-oriented construction. This was one of Honda’s first production bikes to use a 749 cc four-stroke air- and oil-cooled V-Twin engine, which offered linear power and a distinctive sound, making it ideal for long journeys and demanding terrain. Among the elements that made it memorable was the cardan shaft final drive system, which virtually eliminated common chain maintenance, and the engine with red painted heads, a rare and striking aesthetic touch. Equipped with a conventional long-travel front fork and Pro-Link rear suspension, it offers a balanced and comfortable ride, even off-road.

An icon of the 1980s and highly prized by collectors and enthusiasts, the XLV 750R is a machine with an adventurous soul, ready to continue its story with a passionate new owner.
